Dear Mr Wasson:
This letter is in response to your request to exchange two Caterpillar 3606 compressors for an approved
3612 compressor, add a 9'x 30'anal cooler and a 20' x 30' storage building. From the information you
submitted Planning Staff has determined that this is not a substantial change to Use by Special Review
Permit 1280.An amendment to the USR would not be required at this time.
Please contact the Weld County Building Inspection Department to obtain the appropriate building
permits.

Dear Ms. Lockman:
As discussed earlier today, HS Gathering, LLC ("HSG") owns and operates a
natural gas compression and dehydration station in Weld County pursuant to the terms of
that Use by Special Review, Permit 1280, issued by Weld County, ("USR 1280"),
located on the above described acreage.
Pursuant to the terms of the USR 1280, HSG has placed and constructed on the
Platteville Compressor site certain equipment and facilities.
HSG would like to add certain additional facilities to the Platteville Compressor
site. The facilities are as follows:
• Two (2) Caterpillar 3606 compressors, (which is equal to one 3612 caterpillar
compressor, which has already been approved under the terms of the USR 1280
and HS Gathering, LLC anticipated that this would be installed in 2001),with
hospital grade exhaust silencers. The location of these compressors are depicted
on the plat map.
• One (1) Anal cooler, 9 feet by 30 feet.
• One storage building of 20 feet x 30 feet
The described facilities are depicted on the attached plat map of the site.
HSG does not believe that these additional facilities are substantial changes to the
surface that would require an amendment to the USR 1280 Permit.
It is kindly requested that the Weld County Planning Department review the proposed
changes to the site in regards to the USR 1280. If Weld County Planning Department
agrees that these additions do not constitute a"material or substantial change"to the USR
1280 please execute and return one copy of this letter. Please keep in mind that the
purpose and nature of the facility has not changed, only some of the facilities and their
locations within the site.
