RE: ACCEPT WELD COUNTY ENGINEER'S RECOMMENDATION CONCERNING THE
INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES AT THE INTERSECTION
OF WELD COUNTY ROADS 19 AND 74 .
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Engineer has recommended that the
intersection of Weld County Roads 19 and 74 be made into a three-
way stop with decreasing speed limits to alert drivers and fur-
ther that a "Yield" sign be installed on Weld County Road 74 for
eastbound traffic, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has studied the
recommendations of the Department of Engineering Services and
has determined that said signs are necessary for the protection
of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the recommendations of
the Weld County Engineer are hereby accepted and that the Depart-
ment of Engineering Services is directed to install the above-
mentioned signs at the intersection of Weld County Roads 19 and
74 for the safety of the general public and that said signs must
conform to the State manual and specifications .
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 30th day of
July, A.D. , 1980 .

Subject: Intersection of Weld County Roads 19 and 74
Last year the Board authorized the re-structing of this intersection to a
"T" intersection to minimize the safety problems. No funds were available
either last year or this year (cost estimate - $20,000) .
It is ream-trended that, until funds are available, that the intersection be
signed as indicated on the attacltd drawing. It will be a three-way stop,
with decreasing speed limits to alert drivers.
