RE: APPROVE SET HEARING DATE FOR CONSIDERATION OF AMENDMENT TO ST.
VRAIN SANITATION DISTRICT SERVICE PLAN, INCLUDING A SERVICE AREA
BOUNDARY CHANGE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, an Amendment to Service Plan, including a service area boundary change,
and a processing fee have been filed by the St. Vrain Sanitation District, and
WHEREAS, State statute requires that a hearing be held concerning said amendment to
the Service Plan, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to set a hearing on the
amendment to the Service Plan, including the service area boundary change, for July 25, 2001,
at 10:00 a.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that:
Section 1. A hearing on the amendment to the Service Plan, including a service area
boundary change, for the St. Vrain Sanitation District, be scheduled for July 25, 2001, at 10:00
a.m., in the Chambers of the Board, Weld County Centennial Center, First Floor Hearing Room,
915 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado, which is the regular meeting place of the Board of County
Commissioners.
Section 2. The Clerk to the Board is hereby directed to cause a notice of the date, time,
location, and purpose of the hearing to be published in the County newspaper once each week
for a period of three successive weeks, by three publications, the first of which shall be at least
twenty days prior to the date of the hearing.
Section 3. The Clerk is hereby further directed to provide written notice of the date,
time, and location of the hearing to the petitioners, to the Division of Local Government, and to
the governing body of any existing municipality or special district which has levied an ad
valorem tax within the next preceding tax year and which has boundaries within a radius of
three miles of the proposed boundaries.
Section 4. Said notice shall be in substantially the following form:

service area boundary change, for the St. Vrain Sanitation District has been filed with the Clerk to
the Board's Office of Weld County, Colorado, Third Floor, Weld County Centennial Center, 915
10th Street, Greeley, Colorado, and is available for public inspection between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00
p.m., Monday through Friday.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, by Order of the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, a public hearing on said amendment to the Service Plan, including a
service area boundary change,will be held in the Chambers of the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado, Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, First Floor, Greeley,
Colorado, at the time specified below.
The purpose of the hearing shall be to consider the amendment to the District's Service
Plan, including the increase in wastewater treatment plant capacity, additions and deletions to the
service area, and the participation of the District in a storm and surface drainage authority. The
addition to the service area generally includes the following areas: the north half and southwest
quarter of Section 18, Township 2 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M.,Weld County; part of the
southeast quarter of Section 13, parts of the northeast and southwest quarters of Section 24, part
of the west half of Section 24, and parts of the west half and southeast quarter of Section 36, all
in Township 2 North, Range 68 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County; all of Sections 2, 3, 11, and
15, all of the west half and parts of the east half of Section 1, all of the west half and part of the
northeast quarter of Section 12, parts of the northeast, southeast, and southwest quarters of
Section 10, part of the northwest quarter of Section 13, all of the west half and part of the east half
of Section 14, part of the east half of Section 16, part of the northwest quarter of Section 21, and
part of the north half of Section 22, all in Township 1 North, Range 68 West of the 6th P.M., Weld
County. The deletion to the service area generally includes the following areas: part of the east
half of Section 21, all of the north half and parts of the south half of Section 22, all of the north half
of Section 23, and part of the north half of Section 24, all in Township 3 North, Range 68 West of
the 6th P.M., Weld County; and all of the southwest quarter of Section6, all of the north half and
part of the southeast quarter of Section 7,and part of the southwest quarter of Section 8,Township
2 North, Range 68 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County.
If a court reporter is desired, please advise the Clerk to the Board, in writing, at least five
days prior to the hearing. The cost of engaging a court reporter shall be borne by the requesting
party. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, if special accommodations are
required in order for you to participate in this hearing, please contact the Clerk to the Board's Office

Section 5. The Clerk is hereby further directed to refer the amendment to the District's
Service Plan, including a boundary change, to the Weld County Planning Commission, with the
direction that the Commission shall study the same and that a representative thereof shall present
its recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners at the hearing described in Section
1 above.
Section 6. All Resolutions,or parts thereof,in conflict with the provisions hereof,are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict only.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
