RE: APPROVE PURCHASE OF SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR OPERATIONAL
EXPENSES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - GROVER SENIOR CITIZENS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Purchase of Services Agreement for
Operational Expenses between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the
Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human
Services, Area Agency on Aging, and the Grover Senior Citizens, with terms and conditions
being as stated in said agreement, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said agreement, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Purchase of Services Agreement for Operational Expenses
between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, Area Agency
on Aging, and the Grover Senior Citizens be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said agreement.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 29th day of January, A.D., 2001.

COLORADO SUBJECT: Financial Agreement with Grover Senior
Citizens
Enclosed for Board approval is an agreement between the Weld County Area Agency on Aging
and the Grover Senior Citizens Program for $1,500 to assist with operational expenses. Grover
Senior Citizens will utilize the funds to purchase a new door and a new refrigerator for their
center.

Purchase of Services Agreement
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 15th day of January, 2001 by and between the County of
Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the
Weld County Division of Human Services' Area Agency on Aging, hereinafter referred to as "AAA" and the
Grover Senior Citizen Program hereinafter referred to as "Grover."
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, "AAA" develops and administers the Area Plan for a comprehensive and coordinated system of
services, and
WHEREAS, "AAA" considers small rural senior centers a vital link in the county's system of services to older
adults, and
WHEREAS, "Grover" is a senior center providing recreational, nutritional, and educational opportunities for
senior citizens;
NOW THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed:
I. The "AAA"hereby agrees to award grant monies (under the Older Americans Act) in the sum of$1,500 to
the "Grover."
2. "Grover" agrees to expend the grant monies to pay for operating expenses for the center to include: the
purchase of a new door and refrigerator.
3. "Grover" agrees to maintain documentation of the above expenditures and to seek prior approval from the
Area Agency on Aging if it is needed to expend a portion of this grant on expenditures not listed in number
(2) above.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Agreement on the day first written above.
