RE: APPROVE ASSIGNMENT OF TAX SALE CERTIFICATE TO TOWN OF AULT,
COLORADO
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board now is the owner of Tax Sale Certificate No. 20010257, which
applies to property described as "Improvements on Railroad Right-of-Way in the Northwest
Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 13, Township 7 North, Range 66 West of the 6'h
P.M., in the Town of Ault, Weld County, Colorado, and is for the value of the 2000 taxes, with
interest, and
WHEREAS, the subject improvements include a steel grain elevator which is in need of
demolition, and
WHEREAS, because of the need to demolish the grain elevator, the subject property
has $0 value, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Ault now desires to purchase the Tax Sale Certificate for the
sum of$10 so as to gain local control of the subject property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Weld County Treasurer be and hereby is directed to prepare
Tax Sale Certificate No. 20010257 for assignment to the the Town of Ault.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman is hereby authorized to
sign said assignment, if necessary, and any other associated necessary documentation to
affect said assignment.
