COLA. 915 10th St Greeley, Colorado 80631 Dear Weld County Commissioners A few months ago there was an article in the Greeley Tribune about an airport operating under a special use permit approximately two milc5 west of Firestone, Colorado. It came under fire by area residents about late and early flying hours, low flying planes, more than 10 planes at the airport, and something about some fencing which was suppose to be put up that never was. I do not sit around and count violations of the special use permit however just in the last few days I've noted these: 1. May 29, 1983 A plane landed at 8:25 2. May 30, 1983 A parachutist jumped out of an ultra-lite 3. June 1, 1983 Three parachutist jumped and plane landed at 8:15 4. I seem to be able to count 13 airplanes parked outside. How many are in hangars I don' t know. It is my understanding that there aren't to be any planes flying around after 8;00 p.m. , and that there aren't to be more than 10 planes over their. It is also my understanding that ultra lites were not written in the special use permit to be used in the operation of the jump school. The airplanes and ultra-lites are low flying and noisy. The have turned a quiet country life into a noisy country life and it disturbs me. I do not know the outcome of the recent flap of a few months ago and would like to know the outcome. I do know according to the paper, the county commissioners were going to be tough and if the airport operator didn' t take immediate action about the problems, the Weld County Commissioners were going to take away the special use permit. Its evident to me they (the operators of the airport and jump school) have violated the agree- ment countless times, and should have had there permit revoked. Its also seems to me from what I've seen that the Weld County Commissioners bark is far worse than its bite. I would like to know what is being done about the situation down here, and would appreciate your time in looking toward resolving these problems. Cordially 4.7 nios83 Hello
