RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING SITE SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND
USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT#1306 FOR MINERAL RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT
FACILITIES INCLUDING A CONCRETE, ASPHALT, AND PRE-CAST BATCH PLANT AND
GRAVEL MINING IN THE A(AGRICULTURAL) ZONE DISTRICT - PLATTE SAND AND
GRAVEL, LLC
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Site Specific Development Plan and
Use by Special Review Permit#1306 for Mineral Resource Development Facilities including a
Concrete, Asphalt, and Pre-cast Batch Plant and Gravel Mining in the A (Agricultural) Zone
District on a parcel of land located in part of the parts of the SE1/4SE1/4 of Section 23; parts of
the SE1/4NE1/4, SW1/4NE1/4, SE1/4SW1/4, and SE1/4NW1/4 of Section 26; parts of the
NE1/4NE1/4 and SE1/4NE1/4 of Section 34, and parts of the NE1/4,NW1/4, and SE1/4SW1/4
of Section 35, all in Township 4 North, Range 67 West, and parts of the E1/2 and E1/2W1/2 of
Section 2, Township 3 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado, for Platte
Sand and Gravel, LLC, 1300 Harlan Street, Lakewood, Colorado 80215, c/o Thomas Haren,
AgPro Environmental Services, LLC, 4311 Highway 66, Suite 4, Longmont, Colorado 80504
and
WHEREAS, a hearing before the Board was held on the 22nd day of August 2001, at
which time the Board deemed it advisable to refer Use by Special Review Permit#1306 back to
the Weld County Planning Commission to consider the revised/supplemental application and
new referral responses at a hearing to be held on October 2, 2001, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the application of Platte Sand and Gravel, LLC, for a Site Specific
Development Plan and Use by Special Review Permit#1306 for Mineral Resource
Development Facilities including a Concrete, Asphalt, and Pre-cast Batch Plant and Gravel
Mining in the A (Agricultural) Zone District on the above referenced parcel of land be, and
hereby is, referred to the Weld County Department Planning Commission for review of said
revised/supplemental application and new referral responses.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 22nd day of August, A.D., 2001.
