RE: AMBULANCE SERVICE SCHEDULE.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant
to Colorado Statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the
authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Ambulance Service has a unique situation of post-
position manning requirements in order to accomplish the service requirements of
the Ambulance Service, and
WHEREAS, the Director of the ambulance service and staff have recommended
the implementation of a schedule of 24 hours on duty and 48 hours off duty with
compensated overtime on an hourly basis computed at the monthly salary amount
divided by 174 hours, and
WHEREAS, the Director of the ambulance services has recommended that with
the new schedule for the ambulance service, staffing of the ambulance service
can be reduced from 22.5 full time equivalents (FTE) to 20.5 FTE's with a re-
view of the part time (0.5 FTE) in 3 months by the ambulance service and
Personnel.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, that the new ambulance work schedule of 24 hours on duty and 48 hours
off duty is hereby authorized, effective May 17, 1981, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado authorizes compensated overtime as recommended above for those
personnel in the ambulance service participating in the 24/48 hour schedule, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners that the autho-
rized manning level of the ambulance service is reduced to 20.5 FTE's with a
review of the 0.5 FTE part time position in 3 months by the Director of the
ambulance service and Personnel.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Personnel is hereby authorized
and directed by the Board of County Commissioners to modify payroll/personnel
policies accordingly to reflect the Board's policies cited above concerning
the Weld County Ambulance Service.

adopted by the following vote on the 11th day of May, A.D. , 1981.
