RE : DENIAL OF REQUEST BY MANO A MANO COALITION FOR WAIVER OF
PLATFORM RENTAL FEES.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Mano a Mano Coalition is in need of the platforms
from the Exhibition Building, and
WHEREAS, Mano a Mano Coalition has requested that the ren-
tal fee for the use of said platforms be waived by the Board of
County Commissioners , and
WHEREAS, the Board feels that approval of the request would
not be in the best interests of Weld County and therefore, denies
the request for waiver of the rental fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the request of Mano a
Mano Coalition for waiver of the rental fees for use of platforms
from the Exhibition Building be, and hereby is, denied.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 4th day of
May, A.D. , 1981.

Dear Commissioner :
As a member of the Mano a Mano Coalition , I would like
to ask your help with our activity on Saturday , May 9th in
Island Grove .
We are in need of the platforms from the Exhibition build-
ing for three dance groups that will perform that afternoon .
We would like to request a waiver of the platform rental
fee , since the event is serving partially as a fund raiser for
the Colorado Migrant Council , Black Students Union and the
Coalition . None of us have overhead expense funds and are
planning to raise funds to help the poor of our community. I
will be contacting you next week for your response . Thank
you for your help.
