RE : APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 66 -
CONTINENTAL PIPELINE COMPANY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on January 14 , 1981, the Board of County
Commissoners of Weld County, Colorado, approved Conditional
Use Permit No. 66 , and
WHEREAS, two six month extensions of the permit were granted
due to difficulties encountered in attempts to acquire right-
of-way on the affected property, a condition of the Conditional
Use Permit, and
WHEREAS, on July 28 , 1982 , the Board of County Commissioners
has been presented with a third request to grant an additional
six month extension.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the request for an
additional six month extension to Conditional Use Permit No.
66: 80 : 14, be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 28th
day of July, A.D. , 1982.

Re: Request for Extension of Time to Comply with Condition #3 of CUP
66:80:14
Dear Mr. Honn:
The resolution passed by the Board of County Commissioners on January
14, 1981 , approving Conditional Use Permit 66:80:14, specified that
Continental Pipe Line Company was to make road improvements (install a
three-centered curve) on the southeast corner of the intersection of
U.S. Highway 85 and Weld County Road 18+. Six-month extensions of the
permit were granted by the Board on July 15, 1981 and January 15, 1982,
due to legal difficulties encountered in our attempts to acquire
right-of-way on the affected property. As the attached instruments
indicate, these problems have been resolved, and we have obtained the
right-of-way for this property.
We have applied for an access permit to enable us to begin construction,
and we are currently concluding design coordination with the State of
Colorado Division of Highways. Construction should be completed within
60 days at which time the road improvements will be dedicated to the
Division of Highways. However, since the Conditional Use Permit expired
on July 15, 1982, Continental Pipe Line Company respectfully requests a
third extension of CUP 66:80:14 in order to comply with Condition #3 of
the original permit.
