WELD COUNTY COUNCIL I ,

The Weld County Council met in regular session in full conformity with the Weld County
Home Rule Charter at Weld Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, Greeley, CO, Tuesday,
August 21, 2001, 6:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by President Dwaine Kurtz. Vice
President Joyce Smock, Councilman Mitchell Martin, and Councilman Douglas
Rademacher were present, constituting a quorum of the members. Councilwoman
Jody Malone was excused. Also present: the Council secretary, Bev Thomas.
AGENDA ADDITIONS/APPROVAL: President Dwaine Kurtz approved the agenda as
printed.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Vice President Joyce Smock made a motion to approve
the July 17, 2001 meeting minutes. The motion carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Performance Review of Internal Controls at Weld County Treasurer's Office
Performance Review of Internal Controls at Weld County Treasurer's Office was moved
to unfinished business of the September 18, 2001 Weld County Council meeting as the
report from Deloitte and Touche was not available.
Second Quarter Report to the People
Councilman Douglas Rademacher made a motion to approve the Second Quarter
Report to the People. The motion carried and the report was signed.
NEW BUSINESS:
Review: Final Report of the Clerk & Recorder's Management Audit
The Council received the Final Report of the Clerk & Recorder's Management Audit.
The Council will be in contact with the Clerk and Recorder.
Agenda Correction
The time of the September 10, 2001 Elected Officials meeting was incorrectly printed
on the Council agenda. The meeting will be at 10:00 a.m. in Room 350 of the
Centennial Center.

CORRESPONDENCE: The Council reviewed the correspondence.
COORDINATOR REPORTS:
Home Rule Charter Review Committee Meetings
Vice President Joyce Smock reported attending the Home Rule Charter Review
Committee meeting August 15, 2001 when the Committee discussed the Weld County
Council.
PAY BILLS:
Councilman Mitchell Martin made a motion that the listed bills be paid:
Mileage for Councilman Mitchell Martin $19.52
Mileage for Councilman Douglas Rademacher $17.08
Mileage for Councilwoman Joyce Smock $73.20
The motion carried.
ADDITIONS: There were no additions to the agenda
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
