RE: SITE SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND 2ND AMENDED USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW
PERMIT #488 FOR A MINERAL RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT FACILITY (OPEN PIT
MINING AND MATERIALS PROCESSING,ALONG WITH AN ASPHALT MIXING PLANT)
IN THE A(AGRICULTURAL) ZONE DISTRICT - MOBILE PREMIX CONCRETE, INC.
A public hearing was conducted on September 19, 2001,at 10:00 a.m.,with the following present:
Commissioner M. J. Geile, Chair
Commissioner Glenn Vaad, Pro-Tem
Commissioner William Jerke
Commissioner David Long
Commissioner Robert Masden
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther Gesick
Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison
Planning Department representative, Kim Ogle
Health Department representative, Charlotte Davis
Public Works representative, Don Carroll
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated August 31, 2001, and duly published September 5,
2001, in the Tri-Town Farmer and Miner, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request
of Mobile Premix Concrete, Inc., for a Site Specific Development Plan and 2nd Amended Use by
Special Review Permit #488 for a Mineral Resource Development Facility (open pit mining and
materials processing, along with an asphalt mixing plant) in the A(Agricultural)Zone District. Lee
Morrison, Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of record. Kim Ogle, Department of
Planning Services, stated at the request of the applicant, the Departments of Planning Services
and Public Works recommend this matter be continued to allow the applicant additional time to
complete a traffic study.
Julie Goettemoeller, stated there have been some delays in completing the Traffic Study, which
is required prior to conducting the Board of Commissioners' hearing, therefore, an extension is
necessary. No public testimony was offered concerning this matter.
Commissioner Vaad moved to continue the request of Mobile Premix Concrete, Inc., for a Site
Specific Development Plan and 2nd Amended Use by Special Review Permit#488 for a Mineral
Resource Development Facility (open pit mining and materials processing, along with an asphalt
mixing plant) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District to October 17, 2001, at 10:00 a.m. The motion
was seconded by Commissioner Long, and it carried unanimously. There being no further
discussion, the hearing was completed at 10:20 a.m.
