RE: APPROVE VACATION OF USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT#1006 FOR A
RECREATIONAL FACILITY (GOLF DRIVING RANGE) IN THE A(AGRICULTURAL)
ZONE DISTRICT - HENRY BICKERS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution dated May 19, 1993, the Board did approve Use by Special
Review Permit#1006 for a Recreational Facility (golf driving range) in the A (Agricultural) Zone
District for Henry and Marjorie Rickers on the following described real estate, to-wit:
Part of the N1/2 SE1/4 of Section 22, Township 1
North, Range 68 West of the 6th P.M., Weld
County, Colorado
WHEREAS, the Department of Planning Services staff recommended the vacation of
Use by Special Review Permit#1006 as a Condition of Approval for Use by Special Review
Permit#1315 for a Landscaping Materials Yard proposed for the property, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from Henry Rickers, 2497 West 1-25
Frontage Road, Erie, Colorado 80516, to vacate said Use by Special Review Permit#1006, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners heard all of the testimony and
statements of those present, studied the request of the applicant and the recommendations of
the Department of Planning Services staff and all of the exhibits and evidence presented in this
matter and, having been fully informed, deems it advisable to approve said vacation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Use by Special Review Permit#1006 be, and hereby is, vacated.

SUBJECT: Vacation of USR-1006
The Department of Planning Services has received the attached letter dated March 12, 2001
from Mr. Henry Rickers. Mr. Rickers is requesting that USR-1006 be vacated since the use is
no longer being performed on the property.
Background information:
Legal Description: Part of the N2 SE4 of Section 22, T1N, R68W of the 6th P.M., Weld
County, Colorado.
Location: West of and adjacent to Interstate 25; 1/4 mile north of Weld County
Road 6.
USR-1006: USR-1006 was for a golf driving range.
Mr. Rickers recently applied for Use by Special Review 1315 for a landscape materials yard.
The Department of Planning Services has required the vacation of USR-1006 as a condition of
approval. This request for vacation of USR-1006 is to satisfy the Department of Planning
Services' condition.
