RESOLUTION
RE: APPROVAL OF THE AMENDMENT OF PURCHASE OF LEGAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND
THE OFFICE OF THE WELD COUNTY ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on the 12th day of January, 1983 , the Board of County
Commissioners approved a Purchase of Legal Services Agreement for
the Weld County Department of Social Services, and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Social Services approved
said agreement with the exception of Item No. 4 of the Budget which
stated: "Back-up - Tom David, $1, 000, and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Social Services requested
that a separate agreement be submitted for such back-up services,
and
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of March, 1983, the Weld County De-
partment of Social Services presented to the Board of County Com-
missioners an Amendment of Agreement, and
WHEREAS, the Board, after review, deems it advisable to approve
the Amendment of Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Amendment of Agreement
which says that Tom David, County Attorney, shall be the back-up
attorney for the fee of $1, 000 be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded _adopted by the following vote on the 7th day of
March, A.D.; 19-81.

Dear Jim:
Attached is Form CSE-4 requesting renewal of the back-up contract with
County Attorney Tom David. This is the agreement which states that
Mr. David's office would cover any court hearings if our IV-D staff
attorney was ill or absent for some reason.
The terms and condition remain the same as 1982. The 1983 budget
is attached.
