S b ACCESS TO RECORDS The Contractor (and any Subcontractor) shall permit the state, the FI1WA, and their designated and representatives, during normal business hours, to access all books, records, accounts, and other relevant material concerning the work performed or services provided under this Contract for the purpose of investigation, audit, and copying to ascertain compliance with, or to detect violation of', any applicable Federal and/or State law or regulation or with the terms of the Contract, or to evaluate performance tinder the Contract All records or information obtained in this manner shall be used only for the purpose described herein, except as otherwise authorized by law, For the benLfit of the State, the Contractor shall include the language of this paragraph in all subcontracts, in order to require the subcontractor(s) to comply with the record maintenance and access conditions described above Pursuant to CRS 24-30-202 4 (as amended), the state controller may withhold debts owcd to state agencies under the vendor offset intercept system for. Light : We were recently awarded several CDOT paving projects for work on Highway 52 and 85 that will be done this summer_ We have got a sand and ravel pit located west of Fort Lupton, off of State Highway 52 _ I spoke with someone in your office on Monday, and I apologize for not getting a name . I called to determine what we need to do to set up a portable asphalt plant temporarily at our gravel pit. I was told to send a letter including as many specific details as possible and it would be discussed at your Thursday or Friday meeting . 1 ) The asphalt plant will be on site from April 1st to September 1st. We expect 110 one way truck . The direction of travel will depend on which paving project we are working on. The three phases are listed below : Hwy 52 from 1 -25 to Hwy 85 Hwy 85 from the north end of Brighton to the north end of Fort Lupton Hwy 52 from Hudson east for 10 miles 2) We will be using aggregate from the above referenced site, but we will also need to haul in material from another gravel pit in Longmont in order to meet the paving specs that CDOT requests _ This would be about 30 one way trips per day, starting March 1st and ending sometime in June_ 3 ) Tracks will mn Monday through Friday, during daylight hours .
