Box 459 Greeley, Colorado 80632 Subject: Information Regarding Cable Internet Service Installations Dear Sir or Madam: As you know, we are constantly looking to provide our customers with more option%1, more choice, and more flexibility in their AT&T Broadband cable service. In accordance with this philosophy, effective August 16, 2001, we will initiate a new schedule of installatio charges associated with AT&T's @Home high-speed cable Internet service, as detailed below. Please note that this new schedule will not impact any existing @Home customers. Marketing materials will begin to reflect this new schedule as early as August 16, 2001. We will also begin notifying customers calling for @Home installation and pricing information of this new schedule starting on August 16, 200t Customers have the option of either a Basic Installation or a Premium Installation. A Basic Installation, priced at$49.95", includes residential exterior wiring, rewiring as necessary of an existing outlet to support @Home, as well as the provision of and/or connection to the cable modem device. Customers will continue to have the option of either leasing the caple modem from the company as part of their monthly service package, or providing their own cable modem. With a Premium Installation, which will remain at its current price of$99.95', the c mpany technician completes all of the work included with the Basic Installation, plus installation of or connection to the Ethernet Device (may be a compatible retail network interface card or NIC, or built-in USB Ethernet adapter—see below), installation of the client software, configuration of the computer associated with this software installation, and customer education. ViIjth a Basic Installation, these latter functions are performed by the customer. Associated with both the Basic Installation and the Premium Installation, if the company provides the Ethernet Device, there will be an additional one-time equipment charge of$49.95'. Similar to the cable modem, customers have the option of purchasing AT&T Broadband approved Ethernet Devices from retail outlets. Frain- T-108 p.03/03 F-851 Page 2 New Cable Modem Service Installation Schedule USB ports or NICs, and a number of manufacturers produce USB modems, in which case no further Ethernet Device is necessary. In some cases, due to either customer preference regarding the location of the outlet or to meet the AT&T Broadband engineering standards specific to data outlets, a new data outlet will need to be installed. With a Basic Installation,there will be a one-time charge of$13.49*for this service,which is the same as our additional outlet connection at time of initial installation of our video cable service. This service is included with a Premium Installation. In summary, below is the new schedule of @Home installation and associated equipment charges as of August 16, 2001: Service or Equipment Price Basic Installation $49.95* Premium Installation $99.95' Ethernet Device $49.95` Data Outlet Installation $13.49* (at time of initial installation; includes moved outlets) All monthly prices for @Home remain as previously notified.
