RE: WATER TESTING EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado Statute and the Weld County Home Rule
Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of
Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Health Department has been involved with
an investigation of well water with certain gases in it in Southern Weld
County, and
WHEREAS, in order to help identify the problem with the water and
source of the problem, specialized laboratory equipment is required, and
WHEREAS, Balcom Chemicals, Inc. of Greeley has such laboratory
equipment and has offered to let Weld County Health Department personnel
use it at specific times to test the gases in the water, and
WHEREAS, in order to do certain tests on the Balcom Chemical
equipment some additional attachments and equipment is required, and
WHEREAS, the resolution of the water problem is of the utmost
importance to the health and welfare of Weld County citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Weld County Health
Department is hereby authorized to accept the offer to utilize Balcom
Chemical Incorporated's equipment, and acquire the necessary attachments
and equipment related to same.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Balcom Chemical Inc. can acquire the
equipment and bill Weld County for the cost of the acquisition of the
specialized attachments and equipment for the necessary laboratory work
described above.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 14th day of April, A.D. ,
1982.
