Home My WebLink About20011110.tiff RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES HOUSING AUTHORITY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO APRIL 23, 2001 TAPE #2001-19 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Housing Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, April 23, 2001, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner M. J. Geile, Chair Commissioner Glenn Vaad, Pro-Tem - EXCUSED Commissioner William H. Jerke Commissioner David E. Long Commissioner Robert D. Masden Also present: County Attorney, Bruce Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther Gesick Finance and Administration Director, Don Warden MINUTES: Commissioner Long moved to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority Board meeting of March 26, 2001, as printed. Commissioner Masden seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. Commissioner Jerke moved to recess this matter to Monday,April 30, 2001,to allow adequate time to hold a Work Session. Commissioner Masden seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. Upon reconvening, the Board considered the following items of business. CONSIDER SUBORDINATION AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN-EILEEN HURTADO: Tom Teixeira, Director of the Greeley/Weld County Housing Authority, stated the Housing Authority did some rehabilitation work at this property in 1995, which cost approximately $9,000.00. He stated they deferred the loan on the property, and now the owner is requesting the loan be refinanced. Mr. Teixeira explained the owner's income is not enough to carry the entire loan, so he recommends approval of this subordination, and added there is enough equity in the property to cover the loan if necessary. In response to Commissioner Jerke, Mr.Teixeira stated the new lender will increase the loan amount to cover any missed payments or back property taxes. Commissioner Vaad moved to approve said agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Jerke, the motion carried unanimously. 2001-1110 BC0016 CONSIDER 2001 EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT APPLICATION AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN: Mr. Teixeira stated this is Federal money which is being allocated through the Housing Authority. He explained $49,300.00 has been requested, and the amount granted will be allocated to the Greeley Transitional House, Woman's Place, and Catholic Charities. Commissioner Vaad moved to approve said application and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Masden, the motion carried unanimously. Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
