RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES
AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - ISLAND GROVE REGIONAL TREATMENT
CENTER, INC.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Child Protection
Agreement for Services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the
Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Social
Services, and Island Grove Regional Treatment Center, Inc., with terms and conditions being
as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, ex-officio Board of Social Services, that the Amendment to the Child
Protection Agreement for Services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and
through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of
Social Services, and Island Grove Regional Treatment Center, Inc., be, and hereby is,
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 19th day of March, A.D., 2001.

AMENDMENT TO CHILD PROTECTION AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES
BETWEEN THE WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND
ISLAND GROVE REGIONAL TREATMENT CENTER, INC.
THIS Amendment modification made and entered into this 14`h day of March 2001, by
and between the Weld County Department of Social Services, hereinafter referred to as "Social
Services," and Island Grove Regional Treatment Center, Inc., an approved , Compass provider,
referred to as "Island Grove".
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the parties desire to modify their current Agreement (2000-1306) in order to
extend the Agreement and its funding; and
WHEREAS, the authority exists in the Family Issues Cash Fund have been budgeted,
appropriated, and otherwise made available; and
WHEREAS, required approval, clearance, and coordination have been accomplished
from and with appropriate agencies.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, the parties hereto covenant and
agree as follows:
Exhibit B, Payment Schedule,
1. Funding and Method of Payment will be revised as follows:
Social Services agrees to increase reimbursement to Island Grove, in
consideration for work and services performed total funding not to exceed One
Hundred Twenty-Seven Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-Eight ($127,398.00),
under Funding Code 1889 and Object Code 104.
Except as modified herein, the terms and conditions of the original agreement FY 2000-
1306, together with all attachments of the original Agreement, remain in full force and
effect.

RE: Amendment to Child Protection Agreement for Services Between
the Weld County Department of Social Services and Island Grove
Regional Treatment Center, Inc.
Enclosed for Board approval is an Amendment to a Child Protection Agreement for
Services between the Weld County Department of Social Services and Island Grove
Regional Treatment Center, Inc.
The amendment is necessary to increase funding to Island Grove Regional Treatment
Center from $52,398 to a new level of$127,398 or an increase of$75,000. The source of
money will be the Family Issues Cash Fund, which funds our Core Services Programs.
This increase will necessitate a shift among the cost categories within the Core Services
budget of$929,604 in order to provide for this increase to Island Grove Regional
Treatment Center.
All other aspects of the Agreement remain the same as follows:
1. The term of the Agreement is June 1, 2000 through May 31, 2001.
2. Island Grove provides alcohol and drug services to families, children and youth in
child protection or Youth in Conflict. These services include assessments,
treatment, women's services, youth services, residential services, and other
services.
