RE: APPROVAL OF RATE INCREASE FOR COLORADO LANDFILL, INC .
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado held a public hearing on the 20th day of February, 1980
at the hour of 10 :00 o 'clock a.m. in the Chambers of the Board
of County Commissioners for the purpose of considering a rate
increase for Colorado Landfill , Inc. , and
WHEREAS, the schedule for the proposed rate increase is
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners heard all of
the testimony of those present, and having been fully informed,
finds that the rate increase for Colorado Landfill, Inc . should
be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the rate increase for
Colorado Landfill , Inc . , as per the attached schedule, be, and
hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 20th day of
February, A.D. , 1980 .

subject: Colorado Landfill Rate Increase
The attached proposed rate increases have been received from Colorado Landfill ,
Inc. concerning the landfill sites in Weld County. The requested increases
amount to an approximate 21% increase over current rates. In accordance with
the contract that the County has with Colorado Landfill , Inc. , your Board must
approve any rate increases requested by the landfill operator. The request is
for an effective date of April 1 , 1980. In the past it has been the practice
of your Board to provide at least a thirty day notice of any effective rate
increases. Therefore, I would recommend that your Board schedule a public
hearing on February 20, 1980 at 10:00 a.m. to consider the requested rate in-
creases by Colorado Landfill , Inc.
It is further recommended that the Clerk to the Board be instructed to publish
a notice of the public hearing for the citizens in Weld County, and to send
registered letters to all commercial haulers in Weld County informing them of
the hearing and the proposed rate increases.
