RE: APPROVE AUTHORIZE KIM FLIETHMAN TO ACT AS OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE
OF WELD COUNTY IN CONNECTION WITH APPLICATION FOR LOCAL LAW
ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Justice requires that the governing board of
jurisdictions applying for a grant through the Bureau of Justice Assistance for the Local Law
Enforcement Block Grant funds and the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program, by
Resolution, designate a representative of the jurisdiction to serve as its representative in
connection with applications, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, has
determined that Kim Fliethman, Business Manager for the Weld County Sheriffs Office, would
be the best person to serve as Weld County's representative for the above purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Kim Fliethman, Business Manager for the Weld County Sheriff's
Office, be, and hereby is, authorized to file for application through the Bureau of Justice
Assistance for the Local Law Enforcement Block Grant funds and the State Criminal Alien
Assistance Program grant, and act as the official representative of Weld County to act in
connection with the application and to provide such information as may be required.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 9th day of July, A.D., 2001.
