Board of County Commissioners / J
FR: Judy A. Griego, Director, Social Service a+It
RE: Colorado Works Program Memorandum of Understanding and the
Colorado Works Program Plan for Calendar Year 2001
Enclosed for Board approval are the Colorado Works Program Memorandum of
Understanding and the Colorado Works Program Plan for Calendar Year 2001 (January
1, 2001 through December 31, 2001).
1. Colorado Works Program Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The
MOU outlines the duties of each party, meets the performance contract
requirement provision required in statute, and outlines the sanction, remediation
and dispute resolution processes. The MOU is similar to last year's MOU except
for one provision. Weld County requested this provision. Weld County agrees to
achieve Federal work participation rates minus the appropriate caseload reduction
factor for all families and two parent families.
2. Colorado Works Program Plan, 2001. To meet the State Department's
requirement for a Colorado Works Program Plan, the Department requests Board
approval to submit and reference Section 6.000, Colorado Works in Weld County
and Child Care Policies and Procedures, Weld County Department of Social
Services Operations Manual. The Board approves these policies and procedures.
