RE: WCR 89 between SH 14 and WCR 122
Dear Mrs. Dunbar:
This letter is in response to your letter postmarked May 7, 2001.
Your concern regarding the unsafe condition of the road has been inspected by the Public Works
Department staff. As you are aware, the road was completely graveled in 1998 and partially"re-
graveled"in 1999. Still,it is clear that several locations require additional material. The Department
will schedule those locations for additional gravel within two weeks.
The snow and rainfall events during the month of May created an unusual number of gravel road
problems throughout Weld County. These events resulted in a staggering number of requests for
additional maintenance over the approximately 2,500 miles of County maintained gravel roads.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to comply with everyone's wishes immediately. The Department
staff is working diligently on these complaints
If you have further concerns, please contact Jeff Jerome,Public Works Operations Division Manager
at 970-356-4000,Ext. 3750.
Sincerely, q A`.
