RE: APPROVE CHANGE ORDER LETTER FOR RESIDENTIAL TRANSITION CONTRACT
AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Change Order Letter for the
Residential Transition Contract between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through
the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Community
Corrections Board, and the Colorado Department Public Safety, Division of Criminal Justice,
commencing upon full execution of said change order letter, and ending June 30, 2001, with
further terms and conditions being as stated in said change order letter, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said change order
letter, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Change Order Letter for the Residential Transition Contract
between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Community Corrections Board,
and the Colorado Department Public Safety, Division of Criminal Justice, be, and hereby is,
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said change order letter.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 25th day of April, A.D., 2001.

Dear Ms. Zuber:
Pursuant to paragraph 5 of Exhibit B (Allocation Letter) to the contract between the
Department of Public Safety, Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ), and the Board of
Commissioners of Weld County,DCJ hereby notifies you that the maximum amount payable
from the State under Allocation Letter# 01-19 to Contract # DCJ 00-04-19, covering the
Bill Owen period July 1, 2000 through June 30, 2001, is hereby changed. The maximum amount

payable for residential transition placements at a daily rate of$36.80 per offender is hereby

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR decreased by$44,000 to a new total of$882,808. The per diem rates remain unchanged.

This amendment to the contract and allocation letter is intended to be effective May 1, 2001,
rJ but in no event shall this amendment be deemed valid until it shall have been approved by
the State Controller or his designee.
Please sign, date and return all copies of this Letter on or before May 11, 2001.
