HomeMy WebLinkAbout20011099.tiff 653 RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE VACATION OF USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT#567 FOR A RECREATIONAL FACILITY -JOANNA AUTOBEE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, by Resolution dated April 17, 1984, the Weld County Planning Commission did approve Use by Special Review Permit#567 for a Recreational Facility for the Spanish Colony Recreational Board on the following described real estate, to-wit: NW1/4 NE1/4 of Section 36, Township 6 North, Range 66 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from the current property owner, Joanna Autobee, 2730 "O" Street, Greeley, Colorado 80631, to vacate said Use by Special Review Permit#567, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners heard all of the testimony and statements of those present, studied the request of the property owner and the recommendations of the Department of Planning Services staff and all of the exhibits and evidence presented in this matter and, having been fully informed, deems it advisable to approve said vacation. Background information: Legal Description: Part of the NW4 NE4 of Section 36, T6N, R66W of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado. Location: South of and adjacent to "O" Street; and west of N. 25'h Avenue. This vacation was a Condition of Approval of permit ZPMH-2215, for a Principle Dwelling. Discussion followed. The Chairman asked the secretary to poll the members of the Planning Commission for their decision. Section 36, T6N, R66W of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado LOCATION: Approximately one (1) mile north of Greeley; west and adjacent to Espanola Subdivision and south and adjacent to Weld County Road 64 APPEARANCE: Manual Silva, Chairman, Spanish Colony Recreation Board, stated they want to be able to have the use of this area for little league, soccer, and baseball. There will also bea playground area for children. He reviewed the history of this land and explained their plans for ingress and egress, refreshment stands, sanitary facilities, fencing and lighting. The Chairman asked Mr. Silva if he had if he had reviewed the recommenda- tions and conditions as outlined by the Department of Planning Services staff. He stated he had and has no problem with them. The Chairman called for discussion from the audience. There was none. MOTION: Lydia Dunbar moved USR-567:83:30 for the Spanish Colony Recreation Board be approved based upon the recommendations and conditions as outlined by the Department of Planning Services staff.
