E (ESTATE) ZONE USES -JOHN AND CHARLOTTE CARLSON
A public hearing was conducted on March 14, 2001, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner M. J. Geile, Chair
Commissioner Glenn Vaad, Pro-Tem
Commissioner William H. Jerke
Commissioner David E. Long
Commissioner Robert D. Masden
Also present:

The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated October 23, 2000, and duly published October 26,
2000, in the South Weld Sun, a public hearing was conducted on November 15, 2000, to consider
the request of John and Charlotte Carlson for a Change of Zone from the A (Agricultural) Zone
District to the PUD(Planned Unit Development)Zone District for seven(7)lots with E(Estate)Zone
uses, at which time the Board deemed it advisable to continue said matter to March 14, 2001, at
which time a new hearing date will be set. At said hearing on March 14, 2001, Lee Morrison,
Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of record. Kim Ogle, Department of Planning
Services, stated at the previous hearing the applicant withdrew the application for a Change of
Zone from Agricultural to Planned Unit Development, with the intent of resubmitting an amended
application to staff for review by referral agencies and the Planning Commission. He stated staff
has not received said amended application and recommends the matter be referred back to the
Department of Planning Services.
Tom Honn represented the applicant and stated due to complications regarding the location of the
development near the airport, the applicant chose to withdraw the application and make some
adjustments to include commercial uses which are consistent with the Airport Overlay District and
the future plans of the City of Greeley. He stated the revised application should be submitted to
planning within a week, and he requested this matter be continued to May 16, 2001, to allow
adequate time for review of the new application and setting of the Planning Commission hearing
date.
Responding to Chair Geile, Mr. Ogle expressed no concerns with the applicant's request.
Responding to Commissioner Vaad, Mr. Morrison explained because it appeared there would not
be a favorable motion, the applicant withdrew the prior application and is now in the process of
filing a new Change of Zone for review. No public testimony was offered concerning this matter.

Commissioner Vaad moved to continue the request of John and Charlotte Carlson to May 16,2001,
at 10:00 a.m. for the purpose of setting a new hearing date for the revised application. The motion
was seconded by Commissioner Masden, and it carried unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 19th day of March 2001.
