RE: CAGE NUMBER 2nd AMUSR-488
MOBILE PREMIX CONCRETE, ALSO KNOWN AS LEFARGE, AND WESTERN MOBILE
Having lived across the street from this company for almost five years now,
we are definitely against another development or expanding of this company.
When we first built in 1996, we were told by then, WESTERN MOLE ,and , WELD
COUNTY, no trucks would be allowed on Road 5, and that the company when sold
would be a nice lake with landscapting within five years. Thus, we built down
the road a very nice place for a horse operation and training facility. We
had a few problems at first, but with the county"s help and a few phone calls
to management the trucks were no longer coming down the road and they would oil
and water the street in front of our homes when theydid theirs. Things changed,
however, when they must hsys sold to LEFARGE
This company has had their operation with no regard for the growing homes or
farms around them. Their trucks are always on Road going north to Road 7,
day and night as their company is open quite alot twenty four hours
Many complaints have been filed by the handful of people who do live next to this
on the Following:
1 . Dust from gravel road is a constant haze over us leaving many of us
sick, and making the road like a wash board from the speeding trucks.
2. Pollution from the plant smoke which is day and night.
3. Damage to my car (I do not know if their are others) , from the speeding
trucks and the flying rocks from the cargo or road hit my hood and windsheild.
3. Our dog was killed when hit (granted it was our fault the puppy was
chasing trucks, but it did not even stop and was going so fast we did not
see the name of the truck.
4. It seems they should have to oil and water the streets or pave them as
they do directly in front of their place.
The county has sent letters and has come out on many occasions under the direction
of Frank Hempen and have been a great help. They have filed notices stating no
trucks on Road S, or their license would be revoked. This did keep the trucks

from the road for approximately two months, then they started up again, but not
as heavy. Complaints made to the company seem to make no difference and I
personally have found them to be very rude and always say they will look
into the matter, or that they have no control over the trucks on Road 5, or
that they are not their trucks, when I have watched them pull into their
driveway. I know they can control this by telling the drivers as they pull in
to weigh. On two occasions when the city was out for check up and to fix
the drains, and again when the phone company was out to bury lines there
were no trucks the entire time they were here working. However, just as soon
as they left they would start up again. As early as 6:00 a.m.
We hope this letter will be of some help tc STOP the request for =ny
expanding, permits, to any of the above now or in the future.
Thank you,
Clifford Henderson
