HAZARD RATING COMPUTATION Hazard ratings are computed in the following manner by use of the tables on the next seven pages. This will give the approximate hazard rating. More accurate hazard ratings can be obtained by inter- polation of the table values. 1. From the vehicular traffic and protection type at a crossing determine the factor CHa from Table I. Pc • 2. From the railroad traffic at the crossing determine the factor Tb from Table II. 3. Multiply the two factors. This figure is the unbalanced hazard rating. 4.
