RE: Weld County Referral for USR 1316—Hall-Irwin Corporation's North La Poudre Site
Dear Mr. Ballstadt:
Weld County has requested we provide a written response to your comments for Hall-Irwin's
proposed gravel operation. Please note the referral you received had the referral number AmUSR-571
rather than USR 1316. As we mentioned during the January 17, 2001 Planning Commission hearing,
we concur with the staff's conditions with the exception that applicant will agree to reserve the
proposed right-of-way along Highway 392 rather than dedicate it. We also agreed during this hearing
that the hours of operation would be limited to 6:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. I have enclosed the revised
mining plan which shows that the berms along Highway 392 have been removed to alleviate flood
concerns. I have also enclosed the buffering plan for Highway 392. Please call me if you have any
questions regarding this application.
