Re: Line Extension Fee for Weld County Road 13 line extension
Dear Customer:
The Board of Directors of the Saint Vrain Sanitation District has extended the line extension fee for Weld
County Road 13 line extension to help fund a parallel line in WCR 26 to the District's treatment plant. The
line extension fee is currently$475 and will increase to$500 in January of 2002.
All line extension fees will be extended to help fund necessary infrastructure improvements in the core of
the District's collection system.

RESOLUTION NO. 2001-04
A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE LINE EXTENSION FEE FOR WELD COUNTY
ROAD 13 LINE EXTENSION TO ASSIST IN FUNDING A PARALLEL LINE IN
WELD COUNTY ROAD 26 TO THE ST. VRAIN SANITATION DISTRICT'S
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT.
WHEREAS, Sufficient fluids have now been received through a Line Extension Fee to reimburse parties
who provided fluids to construct the Weld County Road 13 Line Extension;and
WHEREAS, Weld County Road 13 Line Extension along with other line extensions will produce
wastewater flows beyond the capacity of the 24 inch sewer truck line in Weld County Road 26 and access
road to the District's Wastewater Treatment Plant;and
WHEREAS, The cost of a parallel sewer trunk and appurtenant structures to handle this excess flow is
estimated to cost$620,000 in current dollars;and
WHEREAS, other line extension projects now or in the future will contribute funds through their Line
Extension Fees to funding parallel sewer trunks to carry excess flow emanating from these line extensions;
and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Road 13 Line Extension Fee should remain in effect until the parallel line in
Weld County Road 26 and access road to Districts Wastewater Treatment Plant is constructed and paid for
(construction may be required before sufficient funds can be generated through line extension fees, thereby
requiring borrowing to proceed with the construction when required by flow)to finance the impact from
flow it contributes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
ST. VRAIN SANITATION DISTRICT THAT:
1. The Weld County Road 13 Line Extension shall remain in effect.
2. The Line Extension Fee will increase from$475.00 per Single Family Equivalent this year to$500.00
per Single Family Equivalent in 2002, and then said fee will increase$25.00 every other year
thereafter until no longer required,as is uniform practice within the District.
