RESOLUTION RE: GRANT MOBILE HOME PERMIT NO. 644 - PAUL WEITZEL WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado on the 18th day of August, 1982 , considered the request of Paul Weitzel to place more than one mobile home to be used as an accessory to a farm operation on the parcel of land, which is to be occupied in an A-Agricultural Zone District, more parti- cularly described as follows: Part of the W1, Section 8 , T7N, R60W of the 6th P.M. , Weld County, Colorado WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners , having heard the testimony, finds that said request should be granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the request of Paul Weitzel for permission to place more than one mobile home to be used as an accessory to a farm operation on the above des- cribed parcel of land, which was found to be in compliance with the Weld County Zoning Ordinance, Section 43 , be, and hereby is, granted. We currently live in Ft. Morgan. Paul leases land from his Grandmother Ida Weitzel near Briggsdale (WA of S 8, T 7, NR 60). He has been communting. We never see him because of the hours he puts in on the property. Therefor, we put our home in Ft.Morgan on the market. It took approximately a year to sell it. We close July 30, 1982 and give up possession August 4, 1982. The purchasers wished for these dates. At the time the dates seemed reasonabled to us since we're harvesting in August and need to get the kids ( a Senior and Sixth grader) enrolled in school in August. We did not forsee a permit problem since the family owns over 8,000 acres in Weld County. We have currently applied for a mobile home building permit. Would you please issue us a tempory permit in order to obtain electricity from July 28, 1982 until the permit is ussued. Thank you. Sincerely, • 2_ Tom Honn Department of Planning Services Weld County,,Colorado July 22, 1982 Dear Mr. Honn, This letter is an explanation detailing the situation indicating the reasons why we request to locate a mobile home on private property West half (W-z) of Section eight (8) Township seven (7) North Range . sixty (60) West of the 6th P.M., which is owned by Ida Weitzel. Ida Weitzel, my Grandmother, lives on the property. Ida owns over 8,000 acres of dryland farming and pasture. Ida does not main- tain the property. Her son Paul Weitzel Sr, my Father, lives on the property in a moblie home. Paul Sr. maintains part of the property, however this is too much for him. There are no employee's to help with the farming. I have leased part of the property. I need to live on the property in order to maintain, plant, harvest, equipment upkeep ect. the property. I aslo have no employees. I currently live in Ft. Morgan and distance is unacceptable in order to maintain the property and for family relations. My two children, Senior and Sixth grader, need to be enrolled in the Briggsdale school system for this fall. Living in Ft. Morgan and working in Briggs- dale has been a hardship on us. However, our home has sold and now we have the opportunity to move to the land. The double-wide mobile home we purchased is masonite sided, shingled roof, 1733 square feet, six inch sidewall construction, and R-38 Owens Corning insulation in the roof. We feel it's a quality home and won't detract from the area. The county would benefit by the additional property tax revenue and a higher use of county land by my maintaince and presence.
