RE: APPROVE INSTALLATION OF "STOP AHEAD" AND "STOP" SIGNS AT
THE INTERSECTION OF WELD COUNTY ROADS 7 AND 10
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Engineering has in-
formed the Board that visibility is impaired at the intersection
of Weld County Roads 7 and 10, when traveling north and south,
and they recommend that "Stop Ahead" and "Stop" traffic devices
be installed at said intersection to insure safety to the travel-
ing public, and
WHEREAS , upon recommendation of the Department of Engineering,
the Board has determined that said traffic devices are necessary
for the protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Department of Engi-
neering is hereby directed to install "Stop Ahead" and "Stop"
signs at the intersection of Weld County Roads 7 and 10, said
signs are for the safety of the general public and must conform
to the State manual and specifications .
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 30th day of
May, A.D. , 1984 .

subject: TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES AT INTERSECTION OF WCR 7 & WCR 10
Because of several residential homes having been built on the west side of WCR 17 and
visibility impairment on the north and south sides of WCR 10 at the intersection of
WCR 7, the approach is impaired from three (3) directions (North, South and West) .
It is my recommendation that 30" x 30" Stop signs preceded by 30" x 30" Stop Ahead
signs be placed to control traffic on WCR 10, leaving WCR 7 open to traffic.
