HomeMy WebLinkAbout20011848.tiff RESOLUTION RE: AUTHORIZATION FOR THE WELD COUNTY ATTORNEY TO PROCEED WITH LEGAL ACTION AGAINST BILL AND MELANIE BISSETT FOR VIOLATION OF THE WELD COUNTY CODE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Bill and Melanie Bissett, VI #0100099, are allegedly in violation of the Weld County Code, and WHEREAS, despite efforts by the Planning staff to resolve said matter, the violation has not been corrected, and WHEREAS, on the 10th day of July, 2001, a public hearing was held before the Board of County Commissioners for the purpose of hearing testimony relating to said violation, and WHEREAS, Bill and Melanie Bissett were not present or represented at said hearing, although all parties were notified of said hearing by Department of Planning Services staff, and WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to bring legal action against those individuals named above to correct said violation. I also told her that we mailed the property owner a 30 day violation notice and explained that would give the owner 30 days to bring the property into compliance or at least to request an extension. I told her that we normally grant at least 1 (one) 30 day extension(if they request it). I told her to call back around the middle of May and that we should know more by that time. She said she would call back then.
