The Weld County Council met in regular session in full conformity with the Weld County
Home Rule Charter at the Weld County Centennial Center, Tuesday, December 18,
2001, 6:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by President Dwaine Kurtz. Vice
President Joyce Smock and Councilwoman Jody Malone were present, constituting a
quorum of the members. Councilman Martin and Councilman Rademacher were
excused. Also present: the Council secretary, Bev Thomas.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS: There was no unfinished business.
AGENDA ADDITIONS/APPROVAL: President Kurtz ruled the printed agenda was
approved by consensus.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Vice President Joyce Smock made a motion to approve
the November 20, 2001 Council meeting minutes. The motion was seconded and
carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment.
NEW BUSINESS: There was no new business.
APPOINTMENTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: The January 2, 2002 swearing-in
ceremony of Weld County Treasurer Donald Mueller was announced. President
Kurtz requested the 2002 Elected Officials Meeting schedule.
CORRESPONDENCE: Council members reviewed correspondence regarding the
Coroner's office and acknowledged receipt of the 2002 Weld County Final Budget.
COORDINATOR REPORTS: There were no coordinator reports.
PAYMENT OF THE BILLS:
Vice President Joyce Smock made a motion to pay these bills:
Mileage for Councilwoman Jody Malone $ 46.36
Mileage for Vice President Joyce Smock $ 36.60
The motion was seconded and carried.
