RE: REGULATING, WARNING AND GUIDING TRAFFIC DURING THE TEMPORARY
CLOSURE OF VARIOUS WELD COUNTY ROADS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 42-4-410(6)(a), C.R.S.:
"...local authorities, with their respective jurisdiction may, for the
purpose of road construction and maintenance, temporarily close
to through traffic or to all vehicular traffic any highway or portion
thereof for a period not to exceed a specified number of work
days for project completion and shall, in conjunction with any such
road closure establish appropriate detours or provide for an
alternative routing of the traffic affected...", and
WHEREAS, the Board, pursuant to said statute and upon the basis of traffic and
personal investigations, has determined that conditions exist which make it necessary to
temporarily close to through traffic and to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on said
County roads by posting signs thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, deems it necessary to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on
County roads and any intersections thereof, and it hereby authorizes and orders the posting of
such traffic control devices as shall be reasonably necessary to regulate, warn and/or guide
traffic thereon for the safety of the general public and that said traffic control devices shall
conform to the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that "F" Street between 35th Avenue and 59th Avenue be
temporarily closed, with said closure being effective April 10, 2001, for approximately four
working days for a bridge deck replacement, and further, that standard official traffic control
devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that Weld County Road 49 between Weld County
Roads 34.5 and 38 be temporarily closed, with said closure being effective April 30, 2001, for
approximately 15 working days for road construction, and further, that standard official traffic
control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that Weld County Road 32.5 between Weld County
Roads 21 and 23 be temporarily closed, with said closure being effective April 16, 2001, for
approximately four working days to replace a culvert, and further, that standard official traffic
control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 16th day of April, A.D., 2001, nunc pro tunc April 10, 2001.

SUBJECT: Road Closure
"F" Street between 35th Avenue and 59th Avenue was closed on April 10, 2001 , for a bridge deck
replacement. It is scheduled to be closed for approximately 72+ hours (three to four days). The detour
route is four miles, all are on paved roads. (See attached diagram)
The appropriate documentation is enclosed.
