RE: APPROVE FEE FOR FINGERPRINTING IN CONJUNCTION WITH CARRYING
CONCEALED WEAPON PERMITS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, has the
authority under State statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter to establish certain fees
for services provided by the various departments of Weld County, and
WHEREAS, the Board desires, through this Resolution, to set a fee for the Weld County
Sheriffs Office to cover the cost of taking fingerprints and submitting them to CCIC / NCIC for
analysis, specifically for an individual applying for Carrying A Concealed Weapon Permit, and
WHEREAS, CCIC and NCIC charge $14.00 and $36.00, respectively, to analyze the
prints, and the cost to the Sheriffs Office for taking the prints remains $10.00; therefore, staff
recommends the fee be set at $60.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the fee of$60.00 for fingerprinting in conjunction with an
application for Carrying A Concealed Weapon Permit be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the fee be, and hereby is, effective
immediately.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Clerk to the Board be, and hereby
is, directed to submit a copy of this Resolution to Colorado Code Publishing, Inc., for inclusion
in the Weld County Code during the next supplementation.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 5th day of March, A.D., 2001.
