RE: GRANT REQUEST FROM PLATTE SAND AND GRAVEL TO PRE-ADVERTISE SITE
SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT#1306 FOR
MINERAL RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT FACILITIES INCLUDING A CONCRETE,
ASPHALT, AND PRE-CAST BATCH PLANT AND GRAVEL MINING IN THE A
(AGRICULTURAL) ZONE DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from Thomas Haren, AgPro
Environmental Services, 4311 Highway 66, Suite 4, Longmont, Colorado, 80504, on behalf of
Platte Sand and Gravel, LLC, 1300 Harlan Street, Lakewood, Colorado 80215, for pre-
advertisement of an application for a Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review
Permit#1306 for mineral resource development facilities, including a concrete, asphalt, and
pre-cast batch plant and gravel mining in the A (Agricultural) Zone District, and
WHEREAS, said property is described as Parts of the SE1/4SE1/4 of Section 23; parts
of the SE1/4NE1/4, SW1/4NE1/4, SE1/4SW1/4, and SE1/4NW1/4 of Section 26; parts of the
NE1/4NE1/4 and SE1/4NE1/4 of Section 34, and parts of the NE1/4,NW1/4, and SE1/4SW1/4
of Section 35, all in Township 4 North, Range 67 West, and parts of the E1/2 and E1/2W1/2 of
Section 2, Township 3 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, after study and review the Board deems it advisable to grant said request,
with the hearing date to be set as October 10, 2001, at 10:00 a.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the request from Thomas Haren, on behalf of Platte Sand and
Gravel, for pre-advertisement of an application for a Site Specific Development Plan and
Special Review Permit#1306 be, and hereby is, granted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the hearing date to consider said
request be, and hereby is, set as October 10, 2001, at 10:00 a.m.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 12th day of September, A.D., 2001.

County Commissioners Hearing.

Thomas Haren, representative of Platte Sand and Gravel, has submitted a request that the
application for Use by Special Review Permit #1306, which will be heard by the Planning
Commission on October 2, 2001, be preadvertised. If you wish to approve this request, a hearing
before the Board on October 10, 2001, will allow adequate time for advertising.
