RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO 2000-2001 COLORADO WORKS PROGRAM AND
COLORADO CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PLAN AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR
TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the 2000-2001
Colorado Works Program and Colorado Child Care Assistance Program Plan between the
County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Social Services, and the Colorado Department of
Human Services, commencing July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001, with further terms and
conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, ex-officio Board of Social Services, that the Amendment to the 2000-
2001 Colorado Works Program and Colorado Child Care Assistance Program between the
County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Social Services, and the Colorado Department of
Human Services be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 27th day of June, A.D., 2001, nunc pro tunc July 1, 2000.

RE: Amendment to the Colorado Works PrograM and Colorado Child
Care Assistance Program Plan for SFY 2000-2001
Enclosed for Board approval is an amendment to the Colorado Works Program and
Colorado Child Care Assistance Program Plan for SFY 2000-2001.
The major provisions of the Amendment are as follows:
1. The term of the Program Plan remains the same. The Program Plan is for SFY
2000-2001, which begins July 1, 2000, and ends June 30, 2001.
2. The purpose of the amendment is to allow the Department to charge child welfare
expenses directly to the TANF allocation. This action is in addition to the 10%
allowable transfer from our TANF allocation. These efforts will reduce or
eliminate any child welfare deficit.
3. All other provision of the Plan remain the same.
