RE: APPROVE CONSENT TO EXCEPTION LOCATION WELL AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR
TO SIGN - PATINA OIL AND GAS CORPORATION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with Letter from Patina Oil and Gas
Corporation requesting a response indicating a Consent or Objection to an exception location
for a well from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said letter,
and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to consent to said exception
location for a well, with a copy of the letter attached hereto and incorporated herein by
reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that request from Patina Oil and Gas Corporation for an exception
location of a well be, and hereby is, consented to.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 30th day of May, A.D., 2001.

Dear Interest Owner:
Patina Oil & Gas Corporation ("Patina") requests your written consent to an exception location for the
captioned well (the "Well") to be drilled to test the Codell formation. Due to surface conditions, Patina
has staked the Well at an exception location 422' FNL and 738' FEL which is 77' north of the drilling
window prescribed in Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission ("COGCC") Rule 318A.a.(1).
This exception location will be 1,459' from the existing Meyer J 26-16 well located in the SE''%SE'/4 of
Sec. 26.
Rule 318.c. of the COGCC requires that Patina seek consent from the mineral owners toward whom
the Well is located. If you object to the exception location, please send your written objection to Patina
within ten (10) days from your receipt of this letter.
If you have no objections t the referenced Well location, please evidence your consent to the exception
location by returning one gned copy of this letter in the stamped envelope enclosed to the undersigned
at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Please call if you have
