Dear County Commissioner:
Attached please find a communication that is being sent to all US Cable subscribers in
the Weld County area.
As you can see, there will be a rate increase of$1.90 (plus tax to our basic package
effective June 1, 2001. There also will be a $1.00 increase for one pay channel, $1.50
increase for two pay channels, $1.20 increase for three pay channels, $0.45 (forty five
cents) increase in our converter box rental, and our Service Advantage Plus will increase
to $1.99.
Please also note that we will be adding programming in the very near future.

affordable monthly rates. We're glad you've chosen US Cable and want to inform you of a few changes taking place as
well as to give you a brief company update.
US Cable is proud to be part of an industry that has revolutionized today's home entertainment options in America. With
its wide variety of program choices, cable TV puts viewers in touch with a wealth of entertainment and information from
your local community to around the world! Not only are there more networks for the viewer to choose from, cable
networks are producing more high quality, aware-winning programs than ever before. For example, did you know that the
cable TV industry is responsible for developing nearly 80 percent of all children's programming, giving children the
opportunity to view a myriad of programs with content appropriate for their age? In fact, a large portion of your
subscription dollar funds these and many other valuable programs. At US Cable, a key objective is to provide our
customers with a balanced lineup of family, news, educational, arts, cultural, and sports programming at a fair price.
US Cable is made up of your friends and neighbors, but US Cable is not only people who work and live in the community,
it is people involved with the community. This part year alone, with your help,we raised thousands of dollars for our
neighbors in need. Our"Sharing Tree"campaign brightened the holidays for hundreds of families in the communities we
serve, and together we will continue these efforts in the future.
To continue to meet your needs, our customer service hours are from 8am to 6pm Monday through Friday, and 9am to
1pm on Saturday. Our friendly, professional staff has been expanded to ensure the quality customer service you expect
and deserve. For your convenience, we've now added a new, easier way to take the hassle out of paying your monthly
bill. Just call our office and we will be glad to set you up on our Cable Payment Express plan.
Finally, at US Cable we understand the need to provide quality service at affordable monthly rates. We operate under
governmental rules that determine how we may recover spiraling programming costs as well as other operating costs.
Effective with your June billing, the rate for Basic Service will increase to$32.95**per month. Senior citizen discounted
rates will be increased to$30.95**. Our rates for all premium services will increase to $10.95**and packaged rates will
now be$16.45**per month for two premium channels and $23.95**per month for three premium channels. in addition,
our Service Advantage plan will increase to$1.99**and converter rental will now be$1.95**. This rate adjustment is in
accordance with all governmental guidelines and supports a variety of valuable services and technological initiatives.
We will continue improvements in all our systems by integrating new technologies which will enable US Cable to provide
better quality service and customer satisfaction as we grow with our communities. Several areas will see channel
additions as we advance to bring more programming choices to our viewers.
