THIS LETTER IS TO NOTIFY YOU THAT WE HAVE SERIOUS CONCERNS
WITH THE POSSIBILITY THAT A ASHPALT COMPANY MAY BE COMING
INTO OUR COMMUNITY. WE HAVE ISSUES WITH THE FACT THAT OVER
300 TRUCKS WILL BE ON OUR ROADS, WHICH ARE ALREADY HEAVILY
TRAVELED, THAT HAS SCHOOL BUSES TRAVELING ON THESE SAME
ROADS, THE POLLUTION THAT WILL EFFECT OUR FAMILIES, THE ODORS
THAT WILL PERMEATE THE WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD, THE EFFECT IT
MAY HAVE ON OUR WATER SUPPLY, ARE ONLY A FEW OF THE
CONCERNS WE HAVE THEREFORE WE FEEL THAT WE NEED TO KNOW
WHEN THE NEXT HEARINGS ARE TO BE HELD. WE REQUEST THAT YOU
NOTIFY US IN WRITING WHEN THE NEXT MEETING CONCERNING THE
ASPHALT COMING INTO OUR AREA IS SCHEDULED.

Mineral Rights of Property
Dear Mr. Gathman:
The Use by Special Review(#1324)Application for the Construction Materials Yard located at
2292 Weld County Road 27 requires the following correction in order to clarify the owner of
mineral rights.
The mineral rights for the property currently under consideration for the Use by Special Review
(USR)will not be owned by Asphalt Specialties Company, Inc. as stated on page 9 of the USR
Application. Mr. Laurence Hause will retain the mineral rights. Also, the oil and gas lease
between Mr. Laurence Hause and H.L. Willett will continue and will not be transferred to Asphalt
Specialties Company, Inc.
