RE: APPROVE EXPENDITURE AUTHORIZATION MODIFICATION REQUESTS FOR
WAGNER PEYSER AND REED ACT FUNDS AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Expenditure Authorization
Modification Request for Wagner Peyser Funds from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by
and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department
of Human Services, Employment Services of Weld County, to the Colorado Department of
Labor and Employment, commencing July 1, 2003, and ending June 30, 2005, with further terms
and conditions being as stated in said request, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Expenditure Authorization
Modification Request for Reed Act Funds from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and
through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of
Human Services, Employment Services of Weld County, to the Colorado Department of Labor
and Employment, commencing April 1, 2003, and ending June 30, 2004, with further terms and
conditions being as stated in said request, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said requests, copies
of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Expenditure Authorization Modification Requests for Wagner
Peyser and Reed Act Funds from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the
Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human
Services, Employment Services of Weld County, to the Colorado Department of Labor and
Employment be, and hereby are, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said requests.

Employment Services of Weld County is requesting this modification to include the Wagner
Peyser Adjustment Funding#2 in the amount of$764.00,Wagner-Peyser Adjustment Funding#3
in the amount $55,886.00, and Wagner-Peyser Adjustment Funding#4 in the amount of
$42,061.00 into the Wagner Peyser Base Funding to provide basic labor exchange services to
employers and job seekers in the Weld County Workforce Center Region.

III.. RATIONALE FOR MODIFICATION(S):
Employment Services of Weld County will utilize the $98,711.00 of Wagner Peyser Adjustment
Funds for Wagner Peyser related activities in the Weld County Workforce Center. Funds will be
used to provide basic labor exchange services to employers and job seekers in the Weld County
Workforce Center Region.

Enclosed for Board approval are:
An Expenditure Authorization Modification requesting funds from the Colorado Department of
Labor for Wagner PeyserAdjustment funds in the amount of$98,711.00;and an Expenditure
Authorization Modification requesting Reed Act funds in the amount of$92,687.00. These
additional Wagner-Peyser and Reed Act funds will be used to continue the provision of basic
