RE: APPROVE OPTION LETTER#2 FOR NONRESIDENTIAL INTENSIVE SUPERVISION
PROGRAM CONTRACT
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with Option Letter#2 for the Nonresidential
Intensive Supervision Program Contract between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and
through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County
Community Corrections Board, and Colorado Department of Corrections, commencing July 1,
2003, and ending June 30, 2004,with further terms and conditions being as stated in said option
letter, and
WHEREAS,after review,the Board deems it advisable to approve said option letter,a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Option Letter #2 for the Nonresidential Intensive Supervision Program
Contract between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County,on behalf of the Weld County Community Corrections Board,and
Colorado Department of Corrections be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 28th day of July, A.D., 2003, nunc pro tunc July 1, 2003.

i - Option to renew only (for an additional term)
3 — Change in amount of goods in conjunction with renewal for additional
term
In accordance with Paragraph 1.6.1, of contract routing number 03CAA00154
between the State of Colorado, Department of Corrections and the Board of
Commissioners of Weld County, the state hereby exercises the option for an
additional term of 12 months, starting July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2004 at a
cost/price specified in Paragraph 1.A.1).
The amount of the contract value is increased by $58,000 to a new contract value
of $100,000 to satisfy services/goods ordered under the contract for the fiscal year
2004. The first sentence in Paragraph 1.A.2) is hereby modified accordingly.
The total contract value, including all previous amendments, option letters, etc. is
$210,000.

ALL CONTRACTS MUST B1 APPROVED BY THE STATE CONTROLLER
C.R.S. § 24-30-202 requires that the State Controller approve all state contracts.
This contract Option Letter is not valid until the State Controller, or such assistant
as he may delegate, has signed it. The contractor is not authorized to begin
performance until the contract is signed and dated below. If performance begins
prior to the date below, the State of Colorado may not be obligated to pay for
goods and/or services provided.
