HomeMy WebLinkAbout20032066.tiff RESOLUTION RE: AUTHORIZATION FOR THE WELD COUNTY ATTORNEY TO PROCEED WITH LEGAL ACTION AGAINST JODY AND DEBRA SKYBERG, AND SANDRA SKYBERG FOR VIOLATION OF THE WELD COUNTY CODE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Jody and Debra Skyberg, and Sandra Skyberg, VI #0100016, are allegedly in violation of the Weld County Code, and WHEREAS, despite efforts by the Planning staff to resolve said matter, the violation has not been corrected, and WHEREAS, on the 12th day of August, 2003, a public hearing was held before the Board of County Commissioners for the purpose of hearing testimony relating to said violation, and WHEREAS, Jody Skyberg was present at said hearing, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to refer said violation to the Weld County Attorney's Office for legal action, with an instruction for delay of action upon such referral until August 12, 2004, to allow adequate time for the property owners to bring the subject property into compliance and for an inspection of the property by the Department of Planning Services staff. To bring the property into compliance: As we have previously discussed, staff has been unable to make any recommendations on how to bring the property into compliance other than removal of the mobile home. While you have indicated that you do not ever wish to remove the mobile home, a Zoning Permit for a Mobile Home would be available for the TEMPORARY storage of the Mobile Home, but would only allow it to be located on the property for 6 months. Then it would still have to be removed. Since, you have indicated that it would be too costly to remodel the mobile home into a dwelling unit, a Recorded Exemption is not an efficient option, none the less, it remains a workable option. This meeting will take place in the County Commissioners' Hearing Room, First Floor,Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado.
