Home My WebLink About20033419.tiff 0 RESOLUTION RE: AUTHORIZE EXTENSION OF OIL AND GAS LEASE COVERING CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO - PRIMA OIL AND GAS COMPANY WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Weld County is the owner of vast mineral lands located in Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Prima Oil and Gas Company, 1099 18th Street, Suite 400, Denver, Colorado 80202, submitted a request to extend the lease of 1.20 net mineral acres, more or less, located in Section 34,Township 6 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M.,Weld County, Colorado,and being more fully described in Exhibit A,to the Small Tract Oil and Gas Lease found in the Records of the Weld County Clerk and Recorder, at Reception #2803465, on October 30, 2000, and WHEREAS,Weld County desires to approve the request submitted by Prima Oil and Gas Company, to extend the lease on the above-described mineral acreage for an amount 1/3 of the original bonus of$200.00,or$67.00,together with a rental fee of one dollar($1.00)per net mineral acre, or$2.00, for a total of $69.00, which is to run for a period of six (6) months, commencing February 21, 2004, and ending August 21, 2004. A copy of the lease is attached for your review. As we discussed on the telephone, Prima requests this extension due to the fact that Section 34 has been zoned Industrial and requires approval of a Use by Special Review prior to drilling. We plan to have all the required documen- tation ready for submittal to Weld County in January and, hopefully, be able to drill the well this summer.
