RE: APPROVE RENEWAL OF INVESTMENT ADVISORY AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZE
CHAIR TO SIGN - MBIA MUNICIPAL INVESTORS SERVICE CORPORATION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Renewal of Investment Advisory
Agreement between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County,on behalf of the Treasurer's Office,and MBIA Municipal Investors
Service Corporation, extending said agreement to December 31, 2004, with further terms and
conditions being as stated in said renewal, and
WHEREAS, after review,the Board deems it advisable to approve said renewal, a copy of
which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,that the Renewal of Investment Advisory Agreement between the County of Weld,
State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,on behalf
of the Treasurer's Office, and MBIA Municipal Investors Service Corporation be, and hereby is,
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be,and hereby is,authorized to
sign said renewal.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 29th day of December, A.D., 2003.

RENEWAL OF INVESTMENT ADVISORY AGREEMENT
On May 1, 2003 MBIA Municipal Investors Service Corporation, ("the Advisor") and Weld
County, Colorado ("the Client") entered into an Investment Advisory Agreement ("the
Agreement") for the Advisor to provide investment management services to the Client.
Article 17 of the Agreement provides that the term of the Agreement, " shall be for the
period May 1, 2003 to December 31, 2003." Article 17 further provides that, "The Client may
elect to renew the Agreement upon notice to Advisor for each of the fiscal years 2004, 2005,
2006 and 2007."
The Advisor and the Client desire to extend the Agreement for an additional one-year period.
It is therefore agreed that the term of the Agreement is extended to December 31, 2004. It is
further agreed that all other terms and conditions of the Agreement remain unchanged.
