RE: APPROVE CONSENT TO ASSIGNMENT OF TOWER LEASE FROM QWEST
WIRELESS, LLC, TO SPRINT SPECTRUM, LP AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN -
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,the Board has been presented with a request for Consent to Assignment of a
Tower Lease from Qwest Wireless, LLC, to Sprint Spectrum, LP, by and through the Board of
County Commissioners of Weld County,on behalf of the Weld County Regional Communications
Center, with terms and conditions being as stated in said assignment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to consent to said assignment, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Assignment of the Tower Lease from Qwest Wireless, LLC, to Sprint
Spectrum, LP, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of
the Weld County Regional Communications Center be,and hereby is,approved and consented to.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is,authorized to
sign said assignment consent.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 15th day of December, A.D., 2003.

Re: Option and Site Lease Agreement(Site Identification No.CHE-013)by and between Weld
County Regional Communications Center("Landlord"),and Qwest Wireless,L.L.C.,formerly
U S WEST Wireless,L.L.C.,dated October 30,1998(the"Lease")—16059 WCR 100,Nunn,
Colorado 80630(the"Site")
Dear Mr. Scofield:
Qwest Wireless,L.L.C. ("Qwest Wireless")has entered into an agreement with Sprint Spectrum,
L.P. ("Sprint")that allows Qwest Wireless to offer Qwest Wireless customers national cellular telephone
service. As a result of this agreement,Qwest Wireless intends to assign all of its rights,interest and
obligations in the Lease to Sprint or one of its Sprint affiliates. Under the terms of the Lease,your written
approval is needed to complete this assignment.
Additionally,this letter also serves as your notice that a longer than normal on-site maintenance check
will occur at the Site,which may include upgrades to some of our equipment. We currently do not have a
set schedule for this,however,Qwest will advise its normal contact person for this Site,in advance, with
respect to the specific time that the maintenance will take place.
Please sign where indicated below and return this original document back to me before November 28,
2003,and keep the copy that we provided for your records. For your convenience, enclosed please find a
self addressed,stamped envelope. Written confirmation will be sent to you upon the completion of the
assignment. If you require additional information,please feel free to contact me at 303.398.8493.

LANDLORD'S CONSENT
Landlord hereby consents to the assignment of the Lease by Qwest Wireless to Sprint or to a Sprint
affiliate company. As of the effective date of such assignment, Qwest Wireless shall be relieved of all
performance, liabilities and obligations under the Lease.
