Broomfield
Dear Ms. Cown:
This letter is in response to your letter of September 7, 2003, addressed to the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, asking the Board to assist you in annexing your residence in
North Star Estates into the City and County of Broomfield.
Please be advised that the Board of County Commissioners does not have the authority to
effectuate such an annexation. Your request for annexation should be addressed to the City and
County of Broomfield. I suggest that you contact the Broomfield City Manager, Mr. George
DiCiero, at(303) 438-6300.

Dear County Commissioners;
I am writing in regards to my wish to be annexed by Broomfield.
I have lived in unincorporated Adams County for 33 years and have been very happy.
Due to the situation with Broomfield and Mile High Water things have changed for me. I
need an assured supply of water at a reasonable rate for many years to come and have no
guarantee of that with Mile High Water. I feel my only solution is to become a part of the
City and County of Broomfield.
In addition to my concern over the water is that I am housebound with Muscular
Dystrophy. I have asked Adams County if they could provide Meals-On-Wheels but was
told I live too far away. I have also contacted Adams and Boulder Counties about a ride
for the disabled and was told by both that I was out of their area of service. RTD Access-
A-Ride does not service this area either.
Taking all of this into consideration I feel I would be much better served in all areas of
my needs by Broomfield. I hope you will help me achieve my desire to be annexed.
