IN THE MATTER OF SETTING THE MILL LEVY FOR THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION FOR WELD
COUNTY, COLORADO FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1984.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WELD COUNTY, COLORADO:
That it is necessary, by Colorado statutes, and by the Home Rule Charter
of Weld County, Colorado, to set the annual mill levy for the annual
appropriation for Weld County, Colorado, for the fiscal year 1984, and
WHEREAS, on October 31, 1983, the Board of County Commissioners adopted
N O a mill levy for 1984 based upon an assessed valuation of $842,364,340, and

WHEREAS, on December 22, 1983, the Assessor notified the Board of County

Commissioners of an error that changes the assessed valuation to $870,453,500

o 3 which necessitates an adjustment to the 1984 mill levy for Weld County, and

`n-14 WHEREAS, in compliance with an act of law entitled, "An Act to require
O the affairs of the several counties of the State of Colorado to be continued

from the revenue derived from taxation and prevent other expenses of any

acounty from exceeding its revenue. . .", and in accordance with Colorado
rn v Revised Statutes, Title 29, Article 1, 1973, "During the fiscal year, no
(-NH officer, department, board, commission or other spending agency shall expend

rI a any money, or incur any liability, or enter into any contract which, by its

terms, involves the expenditure of money for any of the purposes for which

n z provision is made in the appropriation ordinance or resolution, including any

o legally authorized amendments thereto, in excess of the amounts appropriated

ain said ordinance or resolution for such office, department, board,
N commission or other expending agency, or purpose for such fiscal year. Any

M G contract, verbal or written, made in violation of this section shall be void
as to the local government, and no money belonging thereto shall be paid
thereon. . .", and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Ordinance 121 adopted October 31, 1983 is hereby
recinded.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the revenue derived from taxation of said County,
shall be, and hereby is, appropriated to defray the necessary expenses and
liabilities of said County for the next fiscal year, 1984, in the following
sums to—wit:
