RE: COMBINE PETTY CASH FUND AND CHANGE FUND FOR ACCOUNTING
DEPARTMENT AND ESTABLISH CHANGE FUND FOR CLERK TO THE BOARD
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,by Resolution on October 6, 1971,a Cash Revolving Fund was created for the
Accounting Department, and
WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners has made changes to said fund from time
to time to the extent that there currently exists both a Petty Cash Fund in the amount of$250.00,and
a Change Fund in the amount of$200.00,of which$20.00 is reserved for the use of the Clerk to the
Board's Office for a change fund, and
WHEREAS,due to a declining use of the funds,the Director of Finance and Administration
and Controller/Treasurer have recommended the two funds be combined into one Petty Cash Fund
in the amount of$150.00,and that a Change Fund be established for the Clerk to the Board's Office
in the amount of$20.00.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County,Colorado,that the Petty Cash Fund and Change Fund currently existing for the Accounting
Department be, and hereby are, combined into one Petty Cash Fund in the amount of $150.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board,that a Change Fund, in the amount of$20.00,
be, and hereby is, established in the Clerk to the Board's Office.
The above and foregoing Resolution was,on motion duly made and seconded,adopted by
the following vote on the 10th day of September, A.D., 2003.
